Nobody is pathetic and annoying as Kazuya Kinoshita, the main character of Rent-A-Girlfriend. To sum it up, he is the most spineless and pathetic main character ever written in the anime.
Most of the time, he spends money on a rental girlfriend, and even on a date, he shouts publicly, embarrassing himself and his surroundings. These are just the beginning of his annoying traits.
Even though his ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami wanted to patch things up, he ignored her chasing over a rental girlfriend.
Makoto Itou (School Days)
Makoto Itou is one of the most hated anime main characters. Even though he had a perfect girlfriend, Kotonoha Katsura, he cheated on her with Sekai Saionji.
He lies and deceives Sekai in order to sleep with her. His character development gets even worse when he ignores Kotonoha and Sekai and chooses to sleep with every girl interested in him.
A perfect example of his pathetic nature is shown when all his lovers ditch him after he ignores Sekai’s possible pregnancy. Eventually, Kotonoha kills him after he dumps Sekai and tries to go back to her.
Keyaru (Redo Of Healer)
Keyaru is a sadistic, violent, cold-hearted person who lives to avenge his abusers. His pathetic nature developed after being betrayed, imprisoned, and raped by the hands of his allies.
With his healing powers, he turns the princess of Jioral Kingdom, Flare, and her younger sister Norn into his servant. Moreover, he turned Setsuna and Kureha, who had nothing to do with his revenge, into his slave.
His motive is pathetic as he has a fetish for rape. To sum it up, Keyaru is one of the most morally flawed characters ever to exist in anime.
Yukiteru Amano (Mirai Nikki)
Yukiteru is a coward and probably the worst character. There is no room for his character development as he often acts childish.
Due to his crybaby personality, he often relies on Yuno for protection. If you have high expectations from his character, you might feel disappointed as he has a severe mental imbalance. He completely breaks down on little things.
After his parents’ death, Yukiteru desires to be a god wanting to revive his parents. He even kills his friends due to Yuno’s deception simply because he believes he can bring them back after becoming a god.
Natsuki Subaru (Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World)
Before you burn the bridges, Subaru from Re:Zero repeats the same mistake he makes without learning anything. He is not bad as other anime characters, but due to his annoying traits, his character development becomes unbearable.
He is arrogant, selfish, and a coward, and due to his stupid pride, he gets beaten a lot. Despite his failure, he succeeds in the end in the most idiotic way possible.
