Lorena Andrea is a ‘fiercely loyal’ warrior nun on Netflix’s Warrior Nun, introduced as Sister Lilith. Her character is based on the Demon Princess from the original comic book series with some similarities and transformations.
With her successful appearance on Warrior Nun, Andrea is now set to appear in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. The upcoming musical/fantasy dropped the first trailer on September 9, 2022, featuring Halle Bailey in the role of mermaid princess Ariel.
The Disney remake of the 1989 animation classic is a live-action adaptation that will hit the theatre on May 26, 2023.
She Plays Perla In ‘The Little Mermaid’
Lorena Andrea joins the cast in the live-action film playing the role of Perla. Perla and Karina are the new characters in the film appearing in Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2023). Swedish actor Kajsa Mohammar will play the role of Karina.
Other cast members include Jonah Hauer-King as Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina, and Art Malik as Grimsby.
She Began Her Acting Career In 2015
The British actress appeared in the stage production of Justice and Coming Out in Precinct Theatre, London, before debuting as Hannah in the short film Lia in 2015. She then appeared in short films like Lithium, Signs of Silence, and Grace of Mine.
She debuted in the feature film in 2016 as a cast Sofia in the comedy movie Jesters (2018). Andrea also appeared in several movies like Papillon, House on Elm Lake, and Unhinged. In 2019, she played Lotsee in No Man’s Land starring alongside Brooke Lyons and Chris Routhe.
Her acting breakthrough came in 2020, portraying the role of Sister Lilith on Netflix’s Warrior Nun. In her interview with HollywoodLife, the actress described her character, saying that she fell in love with Lilith as soon as she read the script.
Andrea further revealed that she trained in Filipino martial art to play a ‘fiercely loyal’ warrior nun. She and her co-stars trained for a month in different martial arts.
Lorena Andrea Is Fluent In English And Spanish
She is bilingual and can speak both English and Spanish fluently. She has roots in Spain as her parents are Spanish and Colombian. Before relocating to London, she lived in Spain for three years and traveled to Colombia. Eventually, she moved to Los Angeles in 2019.
Interested in acting from a young age, she joined Anna Scher Theatre School in London, England. She joined several youth theatre groups and even got a chance to appear in CBBC’s The Pod in 2007.
Andrea was born in London, England, on April 12, 1994. The 28-years-old British actress is enthusiastic about martial arts and often practices MMA. She enjoys playing sports, swimming, and dancing.
