The popular host behind the show Bill Nye the Science Guy, Bill Nye is married for the second time. The Emmy-winning television host tied a knot with Liza Mundy in late May; People exclusively revealed the story.
Prior to Mundy, he had a short-term marriage with musician Blair Tindall. Their relationship was annulled just seven weeks after their marriage license was declared invalid. They were married from February 3 to March 28, 2006.
Nye is famous for his fun science experiments, where he wears his trademark blue lab coat and a bowtie. The American mechanical engineer has hosted Netflix’s Bill Nye Saves the World, and Peacock’s The End is Nye.

Bill Nye and Liza Mundy tied a knot in late-May 2022, people.com confirmed the news after a month.
Pete Souza, the American photojournalist, also confirmed the news on his Instagram, writing, “es it’s true, I’m now officially a wedding photographer. But I buried the lede: congrats to Bill Nye and Liza Mundy.”
The couple held their wedding at the Castle Building’s Haupt Garden at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Robert Picardo served as the officiant, while Souza was their wedding photographer.
The wedding attendees were Mundy’s daughter, Anna, and Nye’s brother Darby. At the reception, the bride and groom danced to Sam Cooke’s What a Wonderful World.

According to the sources, Nye and his wife Mundy wrote their own vows, which were “equal parts moving and comical.”
On their big day, the Science Guy, Nye, honored his father, Edwin D. Nye, by wearing his cufflinks. His father, Edwin, passed at age 105 on May 3, 1917.
Nye didn’t miss wearing his signature bowtie with a black tuxedo and an orange boutonniere.
Meanwhile, his wife Mundy donned a satin sleeveless gown, as captured by longtime White House photographer Souza.

Bill Nye and Liza Mundy’s relationship started somewhere around 2017. After Mundy mentioned Nye’s mother in her book Code Girls, he reportedly reached out via email. Soon, they sparked romance, starting a new chapter in their relationship.
They keep their relationship private but have made few appearances on the red carpet. The pair appeared together during the premiere of The End Is Nye in June 2022.
