Now, in the recent episode of the TLC show, there’s a huge twist. Tammy Slaton, the star of the show alongside her sister Amy- has a big thing to reveal regarding her sexuality.

We have seen that in the recent turn of events, Tammy Slaton came out to be pansexual. While her boyfriend Jerry Sykes accepted her sexuality, he did break up with her. But was it over her pansexuality revelation? Let’s take a look.

Tammy Slaton Musters Courage To Reveal She Was Pansexual

Tammy Slaton realized her sexuality as a pansexual after she started talking to one of her friends. Initially, she thought of herself as bisexual.

While initially hesitating to reveal her sexuality to her boyfriend Jerry Sykes, it was all thanks to Amy she musters her courage. In a clip released on TLC, we saw Amy, who seated alongside her husband Michael Halterman at a restaurant, supported her sister to reveal the true nature of her sexuality.

The TLC star then approached her boyfriend and said that she has something to tell. After Sykes assured her she could tell him anything, Tammy revealed she was a pansexual.

Sykes look confused about her revelation in which she replied:

“It means love is love. I would date anybody whether they’re transgender, straight, gay.”

When asked whether she would date a transgender man, she said she would, before adding, “It’s about how they make me feel, not how they look.”

Did Her Boyfriend Jerry Sykes Accept Her Pansexuality?

Jerry Sykes seem to accept Tammy’s pansexuality and said he still loves her. However, we have learned that in the end, he decides to end their relationship.

Sykes told TMZ earlier, he didn’t ditch her over the pansexuality, but after learning that she was attracted to all types of people. According to him, he needs to have a break due to his relationship with his estranged wife, Kia Russell-Rucker. Sykes now wants to find closure in a relationship with Rucker before settling with Tammy.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Sykes’ wife Rucker says she found her husband’s relationship with Tammy after watching the TLC show, according to thesun.co.uk.

While Rucker and Sykes are no longer together, she called Tammy a ‘home-wrecker,’ before adding that her husband still supports her financially and speaks with her.

‘1000-lb Sisters’ Star Tammy Slaton Weight Loss Issue

Regardless of Tammy’s pansexuality, she is struggling with weight. While her sister Amy had a weight loss after getting pregnant, Tammy still has a matter left in her hand.

In her exclusive interview with People, she said she is aware of her weight gain, and people don’t need to point it out for her. She and Amy both worked to qualify for bariatric weight loss surgery, but only Amy made it. Since then, the reality star has received quite positive responses, in contrast to Tammy.

Meanwhile, Tammy, who once attempted suicide and deals with depression, has received negative comments and due to that, Amy is concerned with her sister’s mental health.
