It has been five years since Girls Generation last released their album Holiday Night in 2017. And in an unexpected turn of events, the girl group is making a huge comeback.
The latest announcement marks their seventh album release ending their five-year hiatus. The girl group took a break in 2017, with Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun leaving their agency SM Entertainment.
Now, Girls Generation has reunited, continuing as eight members, and have joined the fray for their upcoming release Forever 1.
The current lineup includes Taeyeon (태연), Sunny (써니), Tiffany (티파니), Hyoyeon (효연), Yuri (유리), Sooyoung (수영), Yoona (윤아), and Seohyun (서현).

New Album ‘Forever 1’ Release Date
SONEs are excited to learn that Girls Generation is making a comeback in the KPOP industry. They announced their August comeback on July 25, 2022.
The official Twitter unveiled their seventh album Forever 1, which will be available in digital format on August 5, 2022, at 6 PM (KST), i.e., 5 AM (ET). Meanwhile, the release date for the physical album is on August 8.
The tracks for the upcoming full-length album will be available on their debut anniversary on August 5. It will be followed by celebrating the event for the 15th anniversary with the fans.
Girls Generation initially debuted in 2007.

Upcoming Schedules For ‘Forever 1’
Girls Generation has released their schedule chart for their upcoming release Forever 1. According to the chart, the girl group will release teasers starting June 27. They will deliver one teaser content per day until their physical album gets released on August 8.
