Pokemon is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a brand new anime series called Pokemon Evolutions. It will feature Pokemons from the first-generation Kanto to the current generation, Galar.
According to the trailer, the new anime features ‘timeless adventure through eight regions,’ i.e., the regions featured on the main series of the Pokemon video-game franchise.
The familiar faces are expected in the episodes as we see Galar champion Leon, his Pokemon Charizard, and his brother Hop from Pokemon Sword and Shield. The exciting trailer also featured Lillie from Pokemon Sun and Moon and trainer Calem and Pokemon Xarneas from Pokemon X and Y.

According to the Pokemon Company, the new anime series features eight episodes and will be released on YouTube from September to December 2021.
Here is the release date of all the episodes of Pokemon Evolutions.
- The first episode titled ‘The Champion’ featuring Galar region from Pokemon Sword and Shield will air on September 9, 2021.
- ‘The Eclipse’ is the second episode featuring Alola region from Pokemon Sun and Moon which will be released on September 23, 2021.
- October 7, 2021 will feature Kalos region from Pokemon X and Y with the third episode ‘The Plan.’
- ‘The Rival’ is the fourth episode which will premier on October 21, 2021. It will feature Unova region from Pokemon Black and White.
- Fan-favourite Sinnoh region from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is expected to arrive on December 2, 2021 with the fifth episode titled ‘The Rival.’
- The sixth episode ‘The Wish’ features Hoenn region from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will air on December 9, 2021.
- Johto inspired region from Pokemon Gold and Silver is the seventh episode titled ‘The Show’ which will premier on December 16, 2021.
- Meanwhile, the eighth episode titled ‘The Quest’ featuring Kanto region from Pokemon Red and Blue will air on December 23, 2021.
Pokemon Evolutions anime series is not only the latest Pokemon project which will be released on its 25th anniversary.
The company has promised to launch the Sinnoh remake Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2021.
Also, the brand new Pokemon Legends: Arceus featuring Sinnoh adventure will drop on January 28, 2022, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has proven to be successful when it comes to Pokemon merchandise. Pokemon Sword and Shield alone has been sold 21.85 million copies worldwide by June 2021.
The highest-selling original game Pokemon Red, Blue, and Green, which shaped the legacy of Pokemon, has been sold 31.05 million copies.
