It looks like KPOP singer Chungha is finally making a comeback.
According to the South Korean portal Naver, she is set to release her second full-length album in June 2022. She is expected to show the potential of ‘Solo Queen’ with her better music and performance.
The details of her new album are yet under scrutiny. Nevertheless, she is currently working on the album, joining the comeback battle alongside fellow KPOP idols.
Chungha’s Last Comeback Was In November 2021
It has been eight months since Chungha last made a comeback in November 2021. At the time, she released a special single titled Killing Me.
Her debut studio album Querencia was released on February 15, 2021. It consisted of 21 tracks combining the R&B elements, synth-pop, afro-beats, and Korean ballads.
Before being a solo artist, she was a member of the girl group I.O.I. She joined Mnet’s survival reality show Produce 101, which formed the 11-member girl group.
Chungha’s Journey To KPOP
Chungha desired to be a KPOP idol from a young age. She lived in Dallas, Texas, for eight years before returning to her hometown in Seoul. Before her debut, she trained for three years.
At first, she auditioned at YG Entertainment. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it to YG. She then trained at JYP Entertainment before joining MNH Entertainment. Representing her agency, MNH, she joined the cast of Produce 101. She made her debut from I.O.I on May 4, 2016, with the mini-album Chrysalis.
Within a year, in January 2017, her agency MNH Entertainment announced that she would be making a solo debut. Her official solo debut came in June 2017 with the release of the mini-album Hands on Me.
She then released her second mini-album, Offset, in January 2018. Within five months, MNH announced her comeback with the third mini-album Blooming Blue in July 2018. She dropped her fourth mini-album, Flourishing, in June 2019.
Due to her flourishing singing career, Chungha received several awards, including Gaon Chart Music Awards, Korean Music Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
She Is Also An Actress
Besides her budding music career, Chungha is also an actress.
She made a cameo debut on the South Korean drama Entourage in 2016. Since then, she has appeared on TV shows like Please Take Care of My Vanity, Real Life Men and Women, and Everyone’s Kitchen.

She is notable for her cameo appearance on Netflix’s YG Future Strategy Office and YouTube Premium’s Top Management.
Apart from that, she was a contestant on the reality shows like Produce 101, Hit the Stage, and Produce 48. In the reality shows, Chungha showed her dancing skills and even got the nickname ‘Dance President’ on Produce 101.
She trained for almost three years before her appearance on the Mnet’s show.
